The Allen-Bradley 1745-LP152 is a part of the SLC 150 programmable controller series. It is microprocessor-based and flexible for experienced and first-time users because it is easy to program, maintain, and operate with full utilization. It has 20 inputs and 12 outputs and runs on 170 -265V AC input power. Thirty-two I/O terminals can also be expanded to maximum 112 terminals. To identify the 6-processor unit version, the 1745-LP152 has 6 color patches (red, black, blue, green, purple or yellow.) For diagnostics, it has 5 red LED indicators for DC Power, PC Run, CPU Fault, Low Battery, and Forced I/O. It has an optional EEPROM module compartment for maximum program security, and a communication port, a battery compartment, and a socket for expansion unit. Inside the communication port, a pocket programmer, or a PC software interface converter can be connected. To access programmed timer and sequencer data, Timer Counter Access Terminal (TCAT) is used with the 1745-LP152. For programming, the 1745-LP152 SLC controller uses PC ladder rungs to provide logical continuity to energize the output. It also has a High-Speed Input (HSI) module for counting rapid pulses made by external input devices. It has a special event-driven SQO counter instruction for the same. Shift register instruction is used to control the flow of processes from one part to the next. With the online data control monitor, controlling and changing the program is possible. The 1745-LP152 SLC controller has simple maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Diagnostic indicators and error codes help identify problems.
